I went out to a bar with some of the students of my CIEE group. I think this was the first time I did something with the group outside of the group activities. Anyway, I went with the two blonde girls that I have complained about in the past. They are nice people, and one of them (the more annoying one in class) is actually a pretty normal girl, looking for some direction in her life after she graduates (which is very soon) and looking for some sort of way to find fulfillment through work in the vicious American job market. Unfortunately, I can relate to that, which means even more unfortunately, I can't dismiss her. Ergh. I don't like it when superficial judgements are proven wrong.
